Do you call a quilt top a finish? Or do you wait until it is quilted and bound and then call it a finish?
I think I will call finished tops a finish.
The pattern is modified from Modern Designs for Classic Quilters, Kelly's Must Stash
pattern.
My diamonds are a little different shape (user error...) and finished
size is 34"x43"
I made this top using mostly scraps that I was going to give away because I had
used lots already and was a little bored with them.
It was fun to find and arrange fabrics that flowed from one colour into another.
Like this pink bordering on lavender aka purple to tie these colours together.
This quilt will be going to the Pregnancy Care Centre in Edmonton as part of Fabulous Home Sewn's sew along.
Beautiful! That was quick!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Can't wait to see it bound & quilted! :)
ReplyDeleteit is lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI consider it a finish too. And then I consider it a finish again when I actually do finish it :D
I call a finished top a "tahdah" but I don't call it a finish until the binding is on. I love the way the colours work in this quilt top. Lovely use for a a mixed bag of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your top. Beautiful quilt. Love the way the colours flow! Can't wait to see how you finish it.
